Steel blind flange used to close a piping system

Flanges

Blind Flanges

Solid flanges without a bore, used to close off piping for inspection, maintenance and pressure testing.

Used to close off the ends of piping systems, blind flanges do not have a bore. They are typically used for inspection, maintenance or pressure testing, and can handle high-pressure applications.

A bolted blind allows a line to be opened again without cutting, which is why blinds are placed at future tie-ins and equipment isolation points.
